4 Stars

The Total Cancer Wellness Guide by Kim Thiboldeaux and Mitch Golant

5 Stars

Highly recommended for anyone dealing with cancer.  Last summer I read every single book I could get my hands on about cancer while my husband dealt with treatments.  This new book would have been very helpful.

Welfare Brat by Mary Childers

4 Stars

A memoir from a woman who grew up on welfare and is the only one of seven children to go on to collge and “become something”.  Very insulting to her mother and sisters but well written.

Down Came the Rain by Brooke Shields

4 Stars

This book details Brooke Shield’s journey through post-partum depression.  I actually think the book would have been more effective if it wasn’t written by a celebrity.  It is difficult to identify with someone who doesn’t live a “real” life, with cooks and nannies, etc.

What Do You Do When the Medications Don’t Work by Dr. Michael Johnson

3 Stars

Unless you like reading a very long advertisement for Dr. Johnson’s services, this book isn’t that great.  Yes, you might get some ideas to try if you have chronic migraines or vertigo, but basically this reads like a testimonial for Dr. Johnson’s clinic.  Dr. Johnson warns the reader of other chiropractic care but
recommends his.

Bulletproof Book Proposal by Pam Brodowsky & Eric Neuhaus

4 Stars

I read this book for insight on preparing my own book proposal.  I got some great ideas from it but the proposals looked quite different from those I’d seen in other books.

Too Late to Say Good-bye by Ann Rule

5  Stars

Ann Rule has written over 24 books.  This one is     difficult to put down.  — It is a true story.  I would definitely recommend it — if you like to read mystery type books.  It is a sad book but truth prevails & justice is handed down.
